A 3 day HIV/MURAL project that I ran with AptART and a group of local activists working with approximately 100 orphans and vulnerable children in Licilo, Mozambique. No electricity, baking heat, at times no water and 2 enormous murals to complete in 3 days.

As some of you may know I am currently working in Mozambique on a project with APTA – Awareness & Prevention Through Art. APTA works with the youth of Mozambique to raise awareness of the prevention and spreading of HIV and AIDS through art.

The kids have an abundance of joy and enthusiasm. They are very keen to learn new things and are amazing to work with. We have been teaching them basic painting skills and are working towards several large murals that will highlight HIV and AIDS issues that are ever so prevalent through out Mozambique.
