I was asked to do a solo show at SIGNAL GALLERY for september…After returning from several months of travelling it was straight back to work..and work I did, in true hermit fashion I locked myself in this hole and did not see anyone for a couple of months until the work was done…

‘Little Prisoners’ was a continuation or a remake of ‘The Prisoners’ but in a different context. The piece has many layers of complexity and required lots of forward thinking and masking to achieve the desired effect, once again, the ‘no fuck-ups allowed’ policy applies as there is no room for error as corrections are impossible..It drove me to insanity, no joke.

The ‘Red Army’ sequence was a challenge that I shan’t be undertaking for a while. As the pieces create one big piece/scene constant awareness of all pieces whilst working was crucial, every mark was made with the other pieces taken into account…

Late nights almost always turn to early mornings…a couple of beers after the peak worktime became integral to my working pattern as falling asleep during daylight is not natural/right/easy…
